Chiddy Bang - Breakfast

Even though the plan was to release on Feb. 28th, Chiddy and Xaph were impressed with the overwhelming pre-orders and released it to everyone a week early.

Ever since I first heard Opposite of Adults, I've been grabbing up all the Chiddy Bang music I can get my hands on. Their style is very unique mostly due to Xaphoon's creative producing and beats.

Breakfast is their first big studio album for an actual label and you can tell in great ways and in some bad ones also. Chiddy's raps are sometimes less intense and intricate compared to what we're used to from him and there's far less of it, with a lot of songs only having two verses and focusing more on catchy hooks as albums are prone to.

Where this album really shines out from the rest is Xaphoon's producing, all the tracks except one to be exact. His beats are unreal, mixing alternative, old school, indie, just about anything he can imagine and he blends them like a GOD DAMN champ! By far my favorite part of Breakfast and Chiddy Bang in general.

I only dropped a song or two off the album, but if you want to check out the sure fire hits before you commit check out Handclaps & Guitars and 4th Quarter. Also fyi if you've been following along, Ray Charles is on this album (previous post) and By Your Side was originally planned for the album but got released early.
